Andhra Pradesh is a state in south-eastern India on the Bay of Bengal. It is the eighth-largest state by area and the tenth-most populous state in India. The state's capital is Amaravati. Physiographic regions

- Ongole: Known for its native cattle breed and milk sweets.

- Gudur: Referred to as the 'lemon city' and has received a Geographical Indication (GI) tag.

- Pulicat Lake: The second-largest brackish water lake in India.

- Sriharikota Island: Houses the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.

- Tirupati: A major religious site famous for its laddu, which has received a GI tag.

- Chittoor: Known for the naturally growing Red Sanders, which requires dry regions and rocky soil for growth.

- Cuddapah: Uranium is mined in the Tummalapalle and Kannampalli mines. (On 19thAugust,2005 nomenclature of “Cuddapah” has been changed as “Kadapa” by the Government of A.P. It was renamed as Y.S.R. District during the year 2010)

- Pochampalli: Renowned for its silk weaving.
